Ashbury, the award-winning, Asia-focused strategic communications firm for the financial sector, is looking for an outstanding individual to join our Content team as a Writer and Editor at the Associate level. The successful candidate could be based in Hong Kong or Singapore.
About the job
Reporting to Ashbury’s Director of Content, you will work with our growing portfolio of financial sector clients to develop and articulate their insights into the trends that are shaping their businesses and the future of finance.
You will work across client segments including global banks, long-only and alternative asset managers, financial industry associations, fintechs and blockchain ventures.
You will conceptualise, design and develop a wide range of types of written content, including:
Thought leadership articles;
Long-form research, including data analysis;
Event programming content;
Internal communications messages and;
Talking points for events and media interviews.
Much of your work will focus on ESG financing and investment and the emergence of new technologies in the financial sector.
We’re looking for someone who embodies our values of curiosity, boldness and accountability – and who has a clear passion for doing great work with great clients.
You will have:
At least five years of working experience in journalism, content production or corporate communications;
A deep interest in the future of finance, especially ESG and technology;
The confidence to identify opportunities, advance new ideas and enter into constructive debate with the team and senior executives in our client organisations;
A strong understanding of, and passion for, finance and economics;
A keen sense of the news agenda and what angles and storylines will engage audiences;
A proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, as well as to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently;
Native or fluent written and spoken English, with Chinese and other Asian languages considered an advantage;
