I am truly delighted to announce that Steve Garton will be joining Ashbury tomorrow as Director of Content, working in partnership with Noel Cheung – our Director of Advisory – and me.
He will be responsible for leading and developing Ashbury’s original content offering, which we integrate with strategic advice to create a distinctive value proposition for financial sector clients in Asia. His mandate will be to help our clients articulate their insight into – and part in – the future of finance in Asia, especially in connection with ESG and technology.
Steve is one of the leading financial writers and editors in Asia. Over the past 16 years, he has built up deep knowledge of the region’s capital markets and financial institutions. As Editor of IFR Asia for the past 11 years, Steve has been responsible for its authoritative coverage of trends including the rise of sustainable financing, the rapid growth of regional debt capital markets and the pivot of Asia’s equity markets towards financing innovative companies.
His arrival brings the size of our team to five people, who also include our wonderful colleagues Joanne Chung and Jeremy Hughes. As our business grows, we are able to attract leading talent and I look forward to broadening our offering with more hires soon. For now, though, I couldn’t be more excited about welcoming Steve to our team. We began our careers together at Euromoney and first worked together more than 15 years ago, here in Hong Kong. I’m thrilled to be working alongside him again today – and about what he will bring to Ashbury’s clients.
